Little Nod is on a small, secluded site of 12 bungalows, behind a thatched pub. There is a small working pottery nearby and a village shop/PO. There are other pubs and shops in nearby villages and Bude is about 12 miles away.
The beach is 1 miles away down a wooded valley and has a small free car park. There is a stretch of sand at low tide with pebbles, rock pools and a small waterfall. Welcombe is a village on the North Devon/Cornwall border, popular with walkers, surfers and families. Visitors return year after year to enjoy the peace, quiet and natural beauty of the area. There is a large nature reserve nearby, as well as the coast path. The sunken leafy lanes are crowded with primroses in Spring.
The Old Smithy Inn has a lovely beer garden to enjoy on a sunny summer's day and an open log fire on cold winter evenings. It serves excellent food, real ales and good wines. They have weekly events, including Jam night on Tuesday, Cheap Food night on Wednesday, Pizza night on Thursday, a Pie and a Pint offer on Friday and Sunday roasts. There are also monthly events, including a Folk night and a quiz.
Local attractions include Marsland Nature Reserve, SW Coast Path, Tintagel, Boscastle, The Milky Way, The Big Sheep, The Gnome Reserve, Clovelly, Docton Mill Gardens, Hartland Abbey, Hartland Quay, Dartington Crystal and Rosemoor RHS Gardens. Dartmoor, Bodmin and Exmoor are all easily reached for a day, as are Eden and Heligan.

The kitchen has an electric oven, hob, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, fridge/freezer and washing machine. There is a tumble dryer, washing line, ironing board and iron. There is a travel cot and booster seat high chair if needed.
The wall mounted modern radiator in the living room is very efficient and there are wall mounted oil filled radiators in the bedrooms. There is a heated towel rail and a fan heater in the bathroom. There is also a moveable oil filled radiator and small convector heater.
The lounge has a flat screened 40' Smart TV with Freeview and you can bring your own Fire stick, if you have one. There is DVD player with USB port and a small DVD library, as well as books, magazines and a few games. There is a radio/CD in the living room and a clock/radio the main bedroom.
The electricity is supplied by a 1 coin meter with 5 credit supplied for a week during the summer and 10 during the winter.
